Nova
A post-quantum layer-1 blockchain with a virtual machine, fifteen sector domains and a native AI plane.
What it is for
Provide a complete layer-1 blockchain resistant to quantum computers, with a virtual machine, tokenisation, integrated sector verticals and a governed AI automation plane.
What it does
On a core of governed cryptographic agility — epoch-based signature suites, hot rotation without downgrade, auditable Merkle ledger — it adds authenticated state and a deterministic VM with gas, tokenisation with programmable compliance, a P2P network with fork choice, a catalogue of node profiles (PoW, PoA, PoS, masternodes, L2 channels), fifteen sector domain modules, and a native AI plane with certified deterministic policies and guardians holding autonomous veto.
Sector
Blockchain and financial infrastructure, with the option of vertical sales into any of the fifteen integrated sectors.
What it improves
Existing post-quantum chains solve only the signature algorithm. Nova also solves governance of algorithm change, native sector business logic, and the incorporation of AI automation without breaking consensus determinism.
Target client
Sector consortia, financial institutions, public administrations and critical infrastructure operators that need their own chain with twenty-year permanence.
Status and maturity
Core, virtual machine, persistence, P2P and RPC hardening complete; node ecosystem and fifteen sector domains implemented; native AI plane under way. Whitepaper and an audited public testnet still pending.
Differentiator
Combines in one asset what are normally three separate products: governed cryptographic agility, blockchain as a vertical platform with hash-certified domains, and on-chain AI automation with deterministic guarantees.
Commercial fit
Framework licensing so third parties can launch domain chains, sale of sector modules to clients of the other verticals, and intellectual property value for investors.
Architecture
Layered architecture
A complete layer-one stack built bottom-up on one principle: everything signed or hashed is deterministic and self-describing, so an old block still verifies after rotating the signature algorithm — or the hash. The cryptographic foundation no longer lives in the chain: it is consumed from a core shared by the whole ecosystem.
-
01
Shared cryptographic foundation
Classical, post-quantum and hybrid signatures, custody with secret sharing and a multi-party ceremony, and a third-party-auditable rotation ledger, consumed from a common cryptographic core pinned by version. What remains in the chain are thin adapters plus its own hashing and Merkle tree.
-
02
Cryptographic governance
Epoch-versioned suite registry, governed hot rotation — of the signature and, end to end, of the hash function too —, anti-downgrade with a signed policy, an emergency switch, and expiry and harvest-now-decrypt-later signals.
-
03
Authenticated state
Accounts and an authenticated tree with domain separation and inclusion proofs. Validating a block means re-executing it over the parent state and comparing roots: a single mechanism catches double spend, negative balance and divergent execution.
-
04
Execution and tokenisation
Deterministic virtual machine with gas and audited precompiled contracts with strict schema validation and argument authorisation; multi-signature with the policy declared in the account itself; and fungible, non-fungible and real-world-asset token standards with pluggable compliance.
-
05
Consensus and network
Three interchangeable engines — hardened proof of work, authority with a versioned census, and stake with slashing and finality —, reorganisation verified between real nodes, a channel encrypted by default before revealing identity, and layer-two payment channels with router and watchtower.
-
06
Deterministic AI plane
Certified policies executed on-chain with an agent registry, an action gate and episode anchors in the verification tree. The non-deterministic lives off-chain by design: consensus is not contaminated.
-
07
Service, verticals and analytics
Persistence that refuses to start on a corrupt store, a hardened node interface, a formal catalogue of node profiles, a launcher for coins and independent chains, fifteen sector domains and an analytics-and-trading application with explorer, live mempool and a cryptographic-agility panel.
Inventory
Status per component
A real inventory of the asset’s components with their declared status. We publish capability, never code or internal figures.
-
Chain core: state, execution, consensus and tokenisation
Built and testedCovered by a broad proprietary suite, with formalised invariants traced down to the tests, and continuous integration on every change.
-
Signature and hash agility
Built and testedClosed end to end: header, state, addresses and custody rotate under governance. What used to be declared as design is now built and tested.
-
On-chain multi-signature
Built and testedPolicy declared in the account state and cost growing with the number of signatures. Advanced threshold signing was discarded by measuring its benefit, not by opinion.
-
Encrypted network and sync
Built and testedEncryption by default before the handshake, batched sync and reorganisation verified between nodes over a real network. A corrupt store does not start, and the node never signs on the user’s behalf.
-
Native AI plane
Functional with declared debtThe first wave — deterministic certified on-chain policies — is implemented; the adapter to a real language model, reinforcement training and the federated council are specified but unwritten.
-
Analytics and trading application
Functional with declared debtBuilt end to end, but with thin test coverage and wallet management in a development mode declared in every response: not production-ready as is.
-
Real post-quantum cryptography
Wired; depends on a third partyDepends on an external native library; without it the system runs classical and fails explicitly if asked for post-quantum: it never degrades silently.
-
Proof of data existence and post-quantum zero knowledge
Designed, not implementedStill in design, with explicit permission to conclude they are not yet worth it.
-
Audited public testnet and whitepaper
Designed, not implementedThe declared pending milestone and the condition for speaking of a live network.
-
Open technical limits
Functional with declared debtPublished as an honest table: a coarse difficulty step, single-process mining and the deliberate absence of user bytecode.
This profile describes capabilities and status, not implementation. Code, architecture documentation and internal figures are shared under a confidentiality agreement during due diligence.
